Who were the Queen’s Rangers Highland Company?
They were a group of loyalists who chose to fight to keep America part of the British Empire. They were originally called Rogers' Rangers named out of Robert Rogers who raised the companies during the French and Indian War to counter French tactics.

Highlanders are Scottish people from the Highland region in Scotland. The Highland region is in the North-West part of Scotland. The Highland region is known for their bagpipes, kilts, clans, and speaking Gaelic

Highlanders never went into battle without a bagpiper. Just like a bugle for the cavalry, the bagpiper's playing would signal tactical movements to the troops. After the defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie the bagpipe was seen as an instrument of war.

A traditional Scottish Tartan is made of wool and is actually the pattern of stripes that run both vertically and horizontally in the fabric. The only legal Government Tartan was the Black Watch pattern which is the pattern worn by our rangers. The tartans originally were not clan specific as they are associated now.
What is a Kilt?
Nowadays the Kilt is associated with all of Scotland although originally is was only worn in the Highlands. It was originally a basic garment which required no tailoring.
